Air Fluidizing Jets – Enhancing Bulk Material Flow in Silos and Bunkers

Air fluidizing jets are essential components for ensuring smooth and continuous flow of bulk materials inside silos and bunkers—especially materials prone to bridging, arching, or sticking to the walls, such as cement, lime, gypsum, bentonite, flour, feed, and various granular or powdered products.
These jets are designed to provide reliable material movement and prevent blockages and flow interruptions.

Operating Principle

Air fluidizing jets operate through a simple yet highly effective mechanism:

  • Compressed air is injected through the jet into the silo interior.

  • The air breaks up compacted or agglomerated material and re-fluidizes it.

  • This improves material descent toward the discharge outlet and prevents flow interruptions.

This technique ensures smooth, stable, and consistent flow, even with high-density materials or products affected by moisture.

Design Advantages and Ease of Maintenance

Air fluidizing jets feature several key advantages:

  • External mounting on the silo or bunker wall, allowing fast and easy maintenance or replacement.

  • The internal side contains an air-permeable filter in direct contact with the material.

  • No need to open or dismantle the silo during replacement.

  • Corrosion-resistant design suitable for harsh industrial environments.

Available Models

Two main types are available to meet different operational demands:

AJ25 – Standard Type

Suitable for general applications and daily industrial operations.

AJ26 – Heavy-Duty Type

Designed for tough working conditions, high-density materials, and large-diameter silos.

Key Benefits

  • Significant improvement in material flow

  • Prevention of bridging, rat-holing, and blockages

  • Continuous operation with minimal maintenance

  • Easy installation without silo disassembly

  • Suitable for powders and granular materials

  • Long service life thanks to durable industrial construction
